IBPS RRB SPECIALIST OFFICER EXAM

IBPS RRB Recruitment
IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts the RRB exam to recruit officers in Regional Rural Banks. It is one of the most important bank exams of the year. The IBPS RRB exam provides an excellent opportunity for those who want to be part of Regional Rural Banks. Basically, it is an entrance exam that selects candidates for several positions such as Office Assistant and Officer Cadre.

The exams are conducted on various posts, and eligibility and selection criteria also vary for each specialist officer post.

IBPS SO Eligibility
The IBPS RRB eligibility criteria have three important aspects.
- Age Limit
- Educational Qualification
Candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility with regard to the Age limit to appear for examination.
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)- Between 18 years and 28 years
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years – Below 30 years
For Officer Scale- II (Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 32 years
For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 40 years
The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates and EWS category candidates only.
For other categories the following relaxations would apply:
2.Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either –
- a Citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IBPS RRB Syllabus
Prelims Syllabus – The IBPS RRB program will cover a variety of topics of reasoning skills and Quantitative aptitude.
Main Syllabus-The IBPS RRB Mains program will cover a variety of topics of reasoning skills, Quantitative aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness and One Language.
Single level Examination– The Single level Examination will cover a variety of topics of reasoning skills, Quantitative aptitude, Computer Knowledge, Financial Awareness, Professional Knowledge, and One Language.
